1. How do I report a code violation?

Use the ’report a concern’ link on the left or call the Code Enforcement office at 412-882-9600 x1719.

2. When is tall grass considered a code violation?

If grass or weeds in the front of a property are longer than 6" the property is in violation of the Property Maintenance Code and may be notified and/or cited for the violation.

3. What is the process for sending code violation letters?

The letter will state which codes are being violated and a time frame for the property owner to repair the issue. The Code Enforcement Officer will reinspect the property at the end of that time period. If the property has been brought into compliance, no further action will be taken. If the property is still in violation, a citation will be issued.

4. Where do I file a Code Enforcement Complaint?

Use the Request Tracker to file all complaints. Or call the Borough Code Office at 412-882-9600 x 1719.

The Borough Codes can be found on the Borough website at www.baldwinborough.org under the Your Government tab then Borough Ordinances.

Contact the Borough Code Enforcement office with your complaint and the address of property

A copy of a specific code can be printed off the website or you can ask for a copy from the Administration Department at the Municipal Building.
