Baldwin Borough Farmer's Market Update

The Baldwin Farmer’s Market is closed for the season, but we are already working on the 2023 season plans and we are confident that we will be back stronger than ever, with your support. It is a vibrant, amazing event right here in Baldwin. All we were lacking was you.

A farmer’s market doesn’t just happen. It takes a lot of help from a lot of people and I would like to take a moment and thank just a few of them. First up, Averyl Hall of Fresh Harvest. She is an amazing mentor and wants this for Baldwin just as much as I do. Next, the Baldwin Whitehall School District, and in particular Superintendent Lutz, provided a beautiful place to gather and we are empowered knowing that we have his continued support. Baldwin Borough Manager Bob Firek had our back from inception and made sure we had a hot spot router, water, and to take it a step further, he became a customer. Baldwin’s public works department, under the supervision of Randy Lubin, made sure we had tables and trash cans on market day, and had them picked up when market was done.

But the heart of this farmer’s market was H3art Farm, with Joy Stanika and Roman. They brought amazing produce, words of wisdom, and charmed and educated all that came by. They also brought along their friends from Hilltop, AmBoy, Rafael Vencio, and BeeBoy, Randal Hall, and the yumminess that they brought was amazing! Joe Skocik of Plum Run Winery and the ladies from Brochachos Salsa, led by Heather Scanlon, made lots of Baldwin residents quite happy to come back and see them, spend some time, and walk away with great products. Last, but not least, Rene Schultz brought hand-sewn baby blankets and tons of perfect products and quickly became part of this little farmer’s market family.

Roadrunner Hot Dogs, Nurture, Ash and Kris Food Truck and Above and Beyond Catering made lunchtime a great time to come by, grab something to eat and stick around for our musicians, led by Cathy Clark Hickling. Special shout out to Dave Dutzik and the Cajun band, Mon Bayou Crew for a very memorable day.

Watch this space for updates regarding the 2023 schedule. Do yourself a favor and support this amazing group of people and the new ones that are joining us next year. You won’t be sorry.

Thank you everyone,
