The Baldwin pool has been a center of fun and enjoyment for our residents since its construction in 1972. Unfortunately, the concrete structure, the piping that feeds the water from the pool to the pump room and back along with the pumps themselves are all at the end of their useful life. While there have been some minor repairs to each over the years we can no longer limp along and hope that the pool makes it through yet another year. As the famous quote goes “hope is not a plan.” As such, the Borough has decided it is time to repair the pool which will mean it will not be open for the 2024 Season. However, our neighbor Brentwood Borough has agreed to allow Baldwin Residents to use the Brentwood pool for this year and entry fees will be at the Brentwood resident rates. We thank them for this reciprocity. Once we have final plans from our Engineer, we will share with all to see the exciting new changes that will be coming once we re-open again in 2025.
