Building Permits

A building permit is required for new additions, structural alterations, decks, complete roof replacement, and new construction. All building and zoning inquiries must first come through the code enforcement desk to begin processing. If a building permit is issued and construction has not begun, then the permit will be valid for 6 months. Once construction begins, the building permit will be good for 5 years.

Project Plans & Application

All permits must come with corresponding plans for project, as well as contractor information. Submitting an application with incomplete information will delay processing.

Inspections

Residential Construction permits require inspections. The specific inspections will be listed once a permit is issued.
